NoHo Loft

Gut renovation of a NoHo/Greenwich Village loft space utilizing eco materials, energy efficient lighting and a removable fabric duct system.

The original space was dark and broken up, lacking the feel of a loft in many areas. In the new design, the large west windows (shaded with non-PVC solar shades) are immediately visible from the entrance at the other end and the formerly “landlocked” bathroom is opened to a window as well as with translucent “eco-resin” panels to the main space.

In addition to the resin, eco materials utilized included bamboo, COR, Icestone, sustainably harvested maple on non-formaldehyde plywood cores, engineered wood veneers and none or low VOC paints and finishes. Most of the lighting is fluorescent including custom fixtures from Fire & Water.
